How it works
From receipt to explained transaction

Connect FreeAgent
Sign in on FreeAgent and approve access. Mintyai loads your categories and syncs outgoing bank transactions that are unexplained or marked for review (or, if you prefer, every transaction without an attachment).

Send your receipts
Upload PDFs and images, or forward emails to your personal inbox address. A mail filter can forward receipts automatically. Emails without attachments are turned into PDFs.

AI reads each receipt
Mintyai extracts the total, VAT, date, supplier, currency and a short explanation, and picks the best FreeAgent category from your list, guided by the categories you have chosen before.

Matches are suggested
Each receipt is compared with transactions within 14 days of its date. Amounts must agree to the penny, and only matches above 60% confidence are suggested.

You review and approve
See the receipt next to the transaction, adjust the explanation, category or VAT rate if needed, then approve one at a time or in bulk from the table.

FreeAgent is updated
On approval, Mintyai creates the bank explanation in FreeAgent with the explanation, category and VAT rate, and attaches the receipt.
What's new
A personal receipts address, foreign currency, search, categories that learn, matching from a receipt and fewer near misses. Shown with sample data.
It learns your categories
Every approval records the category you use for that supplier. Supplier names are normalised, so “AMAZON.CO.UK” and “Amazon UK Ltd” are treated as the same supplier next time.
Stays in sync
Transactions sync when you sign in and every night. Mintyai keeps up to the 1,500 most recent transactions that need a receipt.
