How to forward receipts to Mintyai automatically

Every Mintyai account has its own private inbox address. Anything sent to it is added to your account as a receipt, read by the AI and matched against your FreeAgent bank transactions. You can forward receipts one at a time, or set up a rule so they arrive without you doing anything.

Find your inbox address

Your address is on the dashboard and in Settings, under Receipt Inbox. Use the Copy button rather than typing it, because the random part at the end is what identifies your account.

Forward a single receipt

Forward the receipt email to your inbox address as you would to a colleague. Attachments are processed one per email: Mintyai takes the first PDF or image it can read. If the email has no attachment, the body of the email is turned into a PDF and used instead.

Forward receipts automatically from Gmail

Gmail can forward matching emails for you. You set this up once:

1. In Gmail, open Settings, then See all settings, then Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
2. Choose Add a forwarding address and paste your Mintyai inbox address.
3. Gmail sends a confirmation email to that address. Mintyai passes it on to your account email, so check your inbox for it and click the confirmation link or copy the code into Gmail.
4. Create a filter (for example, emails from your suppliers, or with "receipt" or "invoice" in the subject) and choose Forward it to your Mintyai address.

From then on, matching emails are forwarded as they arrive, and Mintyai starts looking for the transaction they belong to.

Add the other addresses you send from

You can also email the shared Mintyai address from your account email. If receipts come from more than one of your addresses, for example a work and a personal email, add the others in Settings. Each one gets a confirmation link and only works once you click it, so nobody can add an address they do not own.

What happens next
